During his time at Sheffield, Dr Li explored how The Diamond’s purpose-built teaching spaces and MEE’s hands-on, collaborative approach are shaping the way engineering students learn and apply their knowledge. He met with colleagues from across the Faculty, including the School of Mechanical, Aerospace and Civil Engineering, to share ideas and experiences in delivering practical, interdisciplinary engineering education.

Reflecting on the visit, Dr Li described the experience as “e���-�DZ��Ծ��Բ�,” noting how the facilities and culture of collaboration at Sheffield “transform the way students engage with engineering practice.”

The exchange provided a valuable opportunity to strengthen international links between UNSW and the ����TV, with both institutions sharing a commitment to innovation and excellence in engineering education.

Professor Stephen Beck, Director of the Centre for Engineering Education, said: “It is great to reinforce our links and get new ideas with international colleagues. I met Darson in UNSW when I was a visiting fellow at UNSW and was impressed with his approach to teaching. It is powerful to exchange ideas and issues with people from other educational systems and to celebrate the importance of high quality education internationally.”
