Graduate role: Research Technician, Centre for Stem Cell Biology, ±¬ÁÏTV
Tom’s Stem Cell and Regenerative Medicine MSc gave him the theoretical knowledge and practical skills needed to succeed in the field. He now works in the Centre for Stem Cell Biology at Sheffield as a Research Technician, where he gets to apply his degree every day.
Andra-Maria Ionescu
Research focus: Stem Cell Biology
Andra-Maria chose to continue her specialist training here at Sheffield and is currently completing her research project within the prestigious Centre for Stem Cell Biology under the supervision of Professor Marcelo Rivolta.
Anjana Venkataramanan
Graduate role: PhD student, Johannes Gutenberg University, Germany
The specialist skills and knowledge Anjana gained on her MSc in Biomedical Science gave her the confidence to pursue a PhD project at Johannes Gutenberg University in Germany, studying the visual short term orientation memory in Drosophila.
Bhadra Kerala Varma
Research focus: cancer biology
Bhadra was awarded the British Council India 70th Anniversary Scholarship, allowing her to study MSc Biomedical Science at the ±¬ÁÏTV. With the research experience she's gaining during her masters, Bhadra hopes to pursue a PhD in Cancer Biology after graduation.
Daniel Ray
Graduate role: Process Analytics Team, Lonza
During his MSc, Daniel had the opportunity to work in the Sheffield RNAi Screening Facility (SRSF), developing skills in techniques including genome editing, 3D cell culture, robotics and functional genomic screening. It was this experience that helped Daniel to secure a role at biotech company Lonza for when he finished his studies.
Baoli loved working in the lab as part of her MSc Molecular Biology and Biotechnology degree. By learning a variety of techniques throughout the year with the support of her supervisors, Baoli is now looking to expand her knowledge further with a PhD.
Loukia not only developed her laboratory and scientific research skills during her studies with us, she also had the chance to improve her English language skills and meet other international students.
