As part of the RICHeS funded Sheffield Bioarchaeology project, the collections are accessible on pre-booked open days free of charge.  Prior booking to visit the collections on open days is required.  For use of the collections outside of RICHeS open days, a charge may apply.   

To visit the collections on an open day please use the online booking form.

Zooarchaeology open days at the 1st and 3rd Tuesdays of the month. Please contact Dr Lenny Salvagno for more information about the Zooarchaeology Collections (l.salvagno@sheffield.ac.uk)

Archaeobotany open days are the 2nd and 4th Tuesdays of the month.  Please contact Dr Catherine Longford for more information about the Archaeobotanical collections (c.longford@sheffield.ac.uk).

For extended access to the Sheffield Bioarchaeology Collections, applications may be made to the RICHeS Access Fund.  The RICHeS access fund will fund users’ costs (up to £20,000) to visit the collections.  Please see the for more information.  If you are interested in applying to the RICHeS access fund please contact either Dr Lenny Salvagno or Dr Catherine Longford for advice.
