- Profile
-
I joined the ±¬ÁÏTV in 2025 as a Postdoctoral Research Associate in the Bone Biomechanics Team, contributing to the EPSRC-funded CHILDBONE project. My research focuses on developing a comprehensive database of biomechanical characterisation of children’s bones, with and without bone metabolic diseases.
Before joining the ±¬ÁÏTV, I was a postdoctoral researcher at the University of Portsmouth, where I applied cryo-micro computed tomography (cryo-micro-CT) to investigate soft tissue microstructure. I completed my PhD at the University of Portsmouth, where I examined the full-field mechanical behaviour of the tendon-to-bone interface using in-situ micro-CT imaging and digital volume correlation (DVC).
- Qualifications
-
- PhD in Electrical and Mechanical Engineering, University of Portsmouth (2022–2025)
- MSc in Science and Technology of Bio- and Nanomaterials, Ca’ Foscari University of Venice, with exchange study at Queen’s University Belfast (2019–2021)
- BSc in Biomedical Engineering, Tehran Science and Research Branch (2010–2014)
- Research interests
-
My research interests lie at the intersection of biomechanics, imaging, and tissue engineering. I focus on understanding the multiscale structure–function relationships of mineralised and soft tissues.
