We asked some of our students and graduates to share their experiences of studying physics and astronomy at the ��TV.

I got to work with my supervisor on an interesting research project that has been published in the Astrophysical Journal

Jessica Diamond MPhys Physics and Astrophysics

During her time at the ��TV, Jessica has enjoyed taking part in research projects. Jessica also spent an Industrial Placement Year at EDF (UK) as a Nuclear Analysis placement student.

My SURE project taught me some more advanced Python skills and improved my problem solving skills

Zuzanna Leliwa MPhys Physics

Since starting her degree, Zuzanna has enjoyed getting involved with interesting experimental projects, where she has developed valuable skills such as coding and problem solving.

I have enjoyed my course a lot and I feel prepared to go to the job market and use my skills in a professional setting

Lucca Johann Leal BSc Theoretical Physics

Lucca has enjoyed the opportunity to do projects and learn the foundations of what makes good research. In addition to physics skills, Lucca has developed his problem-solving, teamwork and public speaking skills during his time at Sheffield studying Theoretical Physics.

Jasvinder Khaulsay MPhys Physics and Astrophysics

As an international student, Jasvinder considered both the city and the structure of the degree when choosing the ��TV for her degree. Since joining, Jasvinder has enjoyed carrying out an astronomy project in her third year, which included a field trip to La Palma in the Canary Islands.
