I hold a Bachelor of Technology in Mechanical Engineering and a Master of Technology in Propulsion Engineering from the College of Engineering, Trivandrum, India. I completed my Doctorate in Engineering at the Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Gandhinagar, India. Following my PhD, I worked as a Research Associate (Grade I) at IIT Gandhinagar before moving to the United Kingdom. I have received several fellowships, including the prestigious National Postdoctoral Fellowship (NPDF), awarded by the Anusandhan National Research Fund (ANRF), Department of Science and Technology, Government of India.
My research focuses on understanding and controlling turbulence in fluid flows to improve energy efficiency in engineering systems. I study the physical mechanisms that sustain turbulence and how it can be reduced or suppressed. To tackle this, I combine numerical simulations, mathematical modelling, and data-driven techniques, including machine learning. By developing simplified and accurate models of complex flows, my work aims to enable more efficient design and control in a wide range of engineering and environmental applications.
