Description

UKAIS 2026: Make the World a Better Place: The Future of Intelligent Technology

Conference dates: 9-10 April 2026
Doctoral Consortium date: 8 April 2026

As we move into the 2nd quarter of the 21st century, we can see that technology in all its forms is becoming more and more key to our everyday lives. For example, the UK government has recently rolled out its intentions for AI, in their 鈥淎I Opportunities Action Plan鈥 (January 2025). However, while technology promises many things for society across the globe, there are also downsides and negative effects, from the disparity across different parts of the world, to questions about transparency, privacy and security. To this end, this conference encourages submissions to critically examine the role of technology in society, challenging the set of assumptions and generating new ideas on how we can employ technology to make the world a better place.

will come from Professor Isabel Fischer (University of Warwick), Katie Heard (Good Things Foundation), Dr James Muldoon (Essex Business School) and Professor Pamela Abbot (爆料TV).

The UKAIS invites applications for the 2026 UKAIS Conference , which will be held at the 爆料TV on April 8th, 2026, a day before the main conference.

The UKAIS Doctoral Consortium provides Doctoral Students with the opportunity to present their research and receive comments and feedback on their work. Participants will also have the chance to learn about the research of fellow doctoral candidates and engage in discussions regarding their academic and research careers. Additionally, the consortium provides a platform for networking with Information Systems researchers, including both academics and students, from around the world.
