Andrew Haldane is Chancellor of the ±¬ÁÏTV, President of the British Chambers of Commerce, Chair of the Glasshouse International Centre for Music, Chair of the Advanced Manufacturing Research Centre, Founder and President of the charity Pro Bono Economics and Chair of the National Numeracy Leadership Council. He is Contributing Editor at the Financial Times, Ambassador of the charities National Numeracy and Futures for All and a member of the advisory boards for the Bradford Literature Festival, the South Yorkshire Mayor’s Economic Advisory Council, the Fora Work Institute and PwC. He is Honorary Professor at the University of Manchester and a Fellow of the Royal Society, the Academy of Social Sciences and the Royal Society of Arts. He is formerly Chief Economist at the Bank of England, a member of the Bank’s Monetary Policy Committee and Financial Policy Committee, Permanent Secretary at the Cabinet Office, Chair of the Government’s Industrial Strategy Council and Levelling Up Advisory Council and Chief Executive of the Royal Society of Arts. He has published over 200 academic articles and four books.
