Emma found the research skills developed through the MA Social Research invaluable, along with the support and teaching from our academic team.

I went into a research role after completing my course.  My current position involves researching and analysing data collected from housing needs surveys, writing reports, collating statistics for government returns - the research skills I gained have been invaluable for gaining and achieving in my post as a Housing Needs and Research Officer with Derbyshire Dales District Council. I had great teaching and support from the academic staff!

You can use the skills you have gained in a variety of job roles - not just the most obvious ones directly related to the subject you have studied.
